Mrs irene Nwabuogo Menayaka was the fourth Child of Stephen and Victoria Ilozue of Amawa Ogbunike. She started her life career as a Grade 11 Teacher and taught many schools in the old Eastern States, Nigeria before joining her husband at Ibadan Oyo State. She taught for a while at Ibadan and left for the United Kingdom to further her Education 

While in UK, she went to University College London where she studied infant Education to Graduate level. She worked in London for five years before returning to Nigeria in 1972.

Mrs Irene Menayaka started the famouse Cathedral Nursery school for the Niger Diocese. She enacted action Nuursery Teacher Refresher Course for Nursery Education East of the Niger, helped to establishment of many Nursery Education and contributed to the improvement of Nursery education from Ota-Akara to standard Nursery Education Curriculum with Graduation Certificate.

She left the cathedral Nursery School to start the International Nursery and primary school Onitsha in August 1979. The school was renamed to her name Irene Menayaka School by her children in 1999 when she passed on to the great beyond.

Mrs Menayaka resourcefulness toward education at foundation level earned her the “Progenitor of Foundation Education East of the Niger.Today her effort had established Bar JUNI and Irene Menayaka Endowment fund for the best graduating Eduaction student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The school is now in specila Council at the  United Nations.

Dr Godfrey Ajoku Teachers Resources Center at Irene Menayaka school is a continuation of the vision of late Irene Menayaka and her husband, Late Barrister JUNI Menayaka on Qaulity education of the child East of the Niger.

THE Dr GodFrey Ajoku Teaches Resource Center is United Nation 2030 Development Agenda Initiative established to provide teaching and learning resources to teachers in communities. The main purpose is to provide education, teaching, information and learning resources to teacher in ensuring improvement in learning outcome towards quality and inclusive education for lifelong learning. The vision is based on professionals development program that promotes teacher excellence and academic achievement for schools, community and students.

Drawing on current research and best practice the dr,Godfrey Ajoku Teacher Resource Center  professional development activities for educators and Teachers are designed to deepen content knowledge and enhance pedagogical skills. Activities range widely and include intensive in-classroom support school study groups, community education networks, global classroom participation, teachers and children exchange program, teacher technology education, SDG4 and target training and education. Conferences and seminars.

The resources center will contain education materials such as textbooks, teacher, guides, and reference materials and school teachers achieves   

They also file information about the Qualification and training of teachers and the physical situation of the school, which can be exploited by school to promote their performance.
